Rotation moulding was the starting point of this project: After an introduction to this production process the students of the third semester had to develop a concept / product producible with this technology.
The technological specifications formed the briefing for the project. The students had to find sensible applications. The semester included the following topics: acquisition of basic knowledge on plastics and plastic processing, detailed knowledge on rotation moulding including the visit of a rotation moulding company, gaining the ability to independently develop concepts and topics, to verify these on the aspects design, construction and technical feasibility.
